OK. WTF. Seriously.

I come home from work tonight excited about watching the SEASON PREMIERE (that would be EPISODE 3.01!!!) of Grey's Anatomy that I recorded from CTV. So I fire up the ole DVR and start watching the episode thinking...hmm...we're kinda jumping into the middle of things, there's no resolution of anything from the season finale, it's almost like they've skipped ahead and haven't shown anyone really dealing with the whole aftermath of Denny's death and such.

But I watch the ep anyway, it was enjoyable for what it was. But then I find out after the fact that CTV AIRED THE WRONG FUCKING EPISODE!!! They showed episode 3.02!!!!!!

WTF, CTV???!!!

*stabs things*

So now I have to go find the ACTUAL season premiere and download it...motherfuckers...

ETA: OK, crisis averted. I have now downloaded the premiere and will be watching it within minutes! \o/!

Even though it's 5:13 AM (!!!) and I should be going to bed but I CAN'T because this show pwns me far too much and I can't just leave it on my computer un-watched!

ETA 2: Oh, IZZIE! *cries buckets*

I swear, it's been like the day of TV betraying me at every turn. I thought that msn.com was going to have the premiere of SPN available for download, as I'd read that, like, everywhere, but it's nowhere to be found on the site (unless it's there and I'm just an idiot and can't find it). Also my DVR just DIDN'T tape a couple of other shows I had set it to record tonight. Like I looked in my "scheduled recordings" after the fact and it showed them there, but just didn't bother ACTUALLY recording them when they were on!

This better be an isolated incident, DVR, because if you do this to me with SPN next week I'm gonna have to choke a bitch.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

OK, every single one of you NEEDS to get your hands on the pilots for "Traveler" and "The Black Donnellys" like NOW. They were both MIND-BLOWINGLY awesome! For serious.

Both shows have quite a good slash potential, especially "Traveler". Aside from the fact that there's nothing even remotely supernatural about it, I got a kinda SPN-esque vibe from it, if only because it's about two guys on the road who have nobody but each other (also, the pilot was directed by none other than David Nutter).

There's a video preview of "Traveler" here (the link is under the player to the right of the programming grid), because it's probably easier to show you what it's about rather than explaining it. Go watch it then find the pilot because OMGAWESOME! I can't WAIT to see more!

"The Black Donnellys" was also great. [info]exsequar recommended that I download it and I'm really glad that I did. It centers around four hot, Irish brothers! And if that doesn't make you want to watch it, I don't know what will!

It's a very compelling show, it has kind of a slow buildup as you get glimpses of how their whole family dynamic works, but the ending was just SHOCKING and fantastic!

Unfortunately, they're both mid-season replacement shows which means they won't actually be on TV until FUCKING JANUARY! AAAAH! But OMG they were SO kick-ass!

Lost )

So do we have a new episode next week or was last week's the last one until the LOOOOOOOONG hiatus?

Why do ALL my shows have to do this to me at the same time? I can deal with one or two of them being off the air (well, OK, I TOTALLY can't deal with "Supernatural" being off the air), but ALL OF THEM? "Supernatural", "Veronica Mars", and "Lost" are on hiatus until January (well, I know VM has one new episode, but still), "Prison Break" is gone until MARCH (better than May, but still...FUCK YOU, FOX!), "Threshold" is cancelled outright (*fumes*). Anyone know if "Grey's Anatomy" is going on hiatus too? Because that would be pretty much all my shows. *whimper*

Anyway, on to Veronica Mars )

Survivor )

Amazing Race )

Prison Break )

I really need to overhaul my journal with a better layout. Still Dean-and-Sam-related of course, just something slightly less sucky. I also think it's about time for a Dean/Sam eyefuck picspam too, because nobody does hot/wrong meaningful glances like our Winchester boys ;-)

OK, TV is starting to try my patience. First, "Supernatural" is on hiatus until JANUARY! I really don't know how I'm going to make it. I have a hard enough time waiting the usual week between the episodes, how they expect me to last well over a month without my weekly fix of Dean and Sam I have no idea (and it makes me fearful for the LOOOOOONG summer hiatus!).

Second, the complete ASSHATS at Fox who decided to just take "Prison Break" off the air until like MAY can go fuck themselves! That makes no sense to me. Isn't the show doing amazingly well? Why must they deny me my weekly fix of Wentworth Miller? WHY?

And third, they canceled "Threshold"! Which, though I didn't get all fandomy about it, I was really enjoying! Why dreck like "Surface" and "Invasion" got picked up for a full season and "Threshold" didn't is beyond me.

Argh. So much argh!

Oh, Dean, could I possibly love you any more?

I love this show. Absolutely LOVE it. It is everything I've ever wanted in a TV show. Just, so much love!

barely spoilery for tonights ep, but cut just in case )

Yeah, so I had to update the icons a little bit :-)

Also added a bunch of Prison Break icons, because Wentworth Miller? Extremely close second in the "hottest-thing-to-grace-my-TV-screen-this-season-(or-possibly-ever)" race.

So much good TV on this season. I'm both pleasantly surprised and mildly annoyed because now I have at least one show on every night that I HAVE to watch (well, except Saturdays--but there's never anything good on Saturdays).

"How I Met Your Mother" has proven itself to be wildly hilarious, despite my earlier expectations that it would probably suck hard. I never imagined myself saying this (OK, maybe I did a little after seeing "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle") but Neil Patrick Harris is THE SHIT!

This is the first time in a long time that a sitcom has made me laugh out loud multiple times over the course of an episode. It's not quite as funny as Best!Sitcom!Ever! "Newsradio" (which will always and forever hold the distinction of being my absolute favorite), but it's pretty damn funny.

spoilers for Monday's ep )

So yeah, TV, man, I can't seem to post about anything else lately. Oh well, I've accepted the fact that I have no life so I'm forced to live vicariously through TV characters. Blah.

I'm in the middle of downloading all the "Firefly" episodes so I can go see "Serenity", which looks awesome. I've watched a few "Firefly" eps but was always working when they originally aired so I kinda missed the boat on that one the first time around. I look forward to watching it now though!

In other news, I need to figure out a Halloween costume so I can go to a gay Halloween dance with [info]tweyelite (who is going, appropriately enough, as a rainbow--hee hee!). I really have no clue what to dress up as. I've had that same problem for pretty much every Halloween since I was about 13. Bah, I always end up just wearing a bunch of weird clothing, doing something weird with my hair, and putting on scary makeup. Pretty lame. I need to think up something original.

So much good TV on lately it's ridiculous.

I'm so glad I finally got my DVR. DVR = Best. Idea. EVER!

Holy shit, "Threshold", did anyone else see that on Friday? WOW! I'm so impressed, it was unbelievably good!

I'm such a TV cynic now, someone at work told me about it, I DVR'ed it, so last night Brodie and I were sitting around with nothing to do and I decided to put it on.

I'm like "We'll watch 5 minutes of it, if it sucks, it's getting turned off." Well, I was hooked pretty much instantly.

SO awesome, and SO scary! It's the first time I've been actually frightened by a TV show in a very very long time (probably since X-Files and that wasn't usually THAT scary!). I love the character of Lucas, I just have this really bad feeling they're going to kill him off. No real reason for the bad feeling, maybe I'm just being a pessimist. But seriously, check out this show! Download the first ep if you missed it and watch the next episode next Friday, it's TOTALLY worth it!

Speaking of X-Files, I'm over the moon at the fact that X-Files is being rerun at 10:00 every night starting from the first episode.

X-Files was my first fandom. There's always a special place in your heart for your first love. Well, at least when it comes to fandom :-) There are episodes I've been watching that I hadn't seen since they first aired! It takes me back to being in Grade 8. [info]java_green and I would go to the ice rink every friday night but we had to make sure we got back before 9:00 so we could watch X-Files!

[info]tweyelite gave me disks of the 1st season of "The 4400" which looks good, I'm going to check them out today because the new season starts on space tonight.

I'm thinking of downloading the first few eps of "Prison Break" because I've heard it's good.

Not to mention that "Lost" and "Veronica Mars" will be starting soon! Ack! So many shows!

Ugh, and I don't even want to TALK about Big Brother. I wish the BB house would explode or something so NEITHER of those two hags would get a penny!

I want my Jedi Janie doll back :-(
