I found "Big Love" on video on demand the other day and decided to check it out and damn, is it ever GOOD! Also, there's three VM people on it! Lilly, Beaver, AND Mac on another show together? AWESOME! It's surprisingly engaging. I watched all 10 eps in three days. Very cool, I highly recommend it.

Speaking of new shows, I'm bursting with excitement at getting season one of "Battlestar Galactica" tomorrow! I bought the mini-series last weekend and pumpkin_dude and I both totally loved it. *flails*

Anyway, I'm off to watch the second hour of the Amazing Race finale. I kinda hope BJ and Tyler win. I mean, I totally realize they spend like 100% of their time mugging for the cameras, and they think they're way funnier than they actually are a lot of the time, but hey, they're good racers and they seem to genuinely have fun. There aren't many TAR teams who manage to run the whole race without ever getting nasty with each other.

Also have "Lost" on the DVR, don't know if I'll get to it tonight (considering I get up for work in like 6 and a half hours...), but I'm really hoping it was good.

So...um...you know that last entry I posted? The one about me being all meh towards "Lost"?

Haven't seen tonight's "Lost" yet, I'm waiting for pumpkin_dude to get home. Just from scanning over my flist (and thank you to everyone who was kind enough to spoiler cut) apparently something really shocking happens. So I'm mildly intrigued. It's kinda sad that last year I held my breath all week waiting for a new "Lost" ep to air, while this year the most excitement I can muster is "mildly intrigued". And that's only occasionally. I can't seem to give up on it for some reason. *shrugs* I'm giving it until the finale to really grab me again, but if it doesn't, I really might just stop watching it next year. *sigh*

Blech, I hate my job. I have a small glimmer of hope that things might improve here in the next few months, though. There are supposedly some trainer positions opening up soon, which I am SO applying for.

Let's see, a pay increase AND not having to talk to sucky customers all day? SIGN ME UP!!! I could TOTALLY teach people how to do this job. I know HOW to do my job perfectly well, I just don't LIKE doing it. But teaching people? No problem!

I have to do laundry when I get home today. It's moved beyond "I should probably do laundry" to "Ack, I have NO clean clothes, I HAVE to do laundry RIGHT NOW!"

I also need to finish my article for vidder_weekly, which I had every intention of finishing yesterday, but I started it too late last night and was forced to put it aside at around 1 am so I could, you know, get some sleep before getting up at 6:30 for work today. There've been a LOT of new vids posted in the past week!

I should probably type up a long-winded and largely pointless post about last night's "Lost" ep, but right now I keep being rudely interrupted by customers (the nerve of them expecting me to actually WORK at work ;-)) and don't have the time to get into it. I just have to comment on this line though: "What are you going to do, hit me with your Jesus stick?" ROTFLMAO! Funniest line of the SEASON!

I also need to make another long-winded and pointless post about "Scarecrow". I watched it again last night and plan on watching it for a third time tonight, taking notes of all the points I want to discuss, because I neglected to mention a whole bunch of stuff in my last post (I'm not crazy, really I'm not! Just obsessed to a pathetic degree.)

Oh, I also have to catch up on all the latest Supernatural vids that have been posted. I got way behind with my watching and commenting, so if I owe you some feedback, know that I AM getting to it.

Why do ALL my shows have to do this to me at the same time? I can deal with one or two of them being off the air (well, OK, I TOTALLY can't deal with "Supernatural" being off the air), but ALL OF THEM? "Supernatural", "Veronica Mars", and "Lost" are on hiatus until January (well, I know VM has one new episode, but still), "Prison Break" is gone until MARCH (better than May, but still...FUCK YOU, FOX!), "Threshold" is cancelled outright (*fumes*). Anyone know if "Grey's Anatomy" is going on hiatus too? Because that would be pretty much all my shows. *whimper*

Wednesday's ep was a marked improvement over the rest of the episodes so far this season (well, OK, the Locke and Hurley eps weren't too bad).

This is more like the "Lost" that I want to see! Exciting and intriguing and more on par with last season's eps!

Tra la la, I need to make a general "New TV shows" post. There are so many new shows out now it's fucking crazy.

I'm so glad I finally got my DVR. DVR = Best. Idea. EVER!

Holy shit, "Threshold", did anyone else see that on Friday? WOW! I'm so impressed, it was unbelievably good!

I'm such a TV cynic now, someone at work told me about it, I DVR'ed it, so last night Brodie and I were sitting around with nothing to do and I decided to put it on.

I'm like "We'll watch 5 minutes of it, if it sucks, it's getting turned off." Well, I was hooked pretty much instantly.

SO awesome, and SO scary! It's the first time I've been actually frightened by a TV show in a very very long time (probably since X-Files and that wasn't usually THAT scary!). I love the character of Lucas, I just have this really bad feeling they're going to kill him off. No real reason for the bad feeling, maybe I'm just being a pessimist. But seriously, check out this show! Download the first ep if you missed it and watch the next episode next Friday, it's TOTALLY worth it!

Speaking of X-Files, I'm over the moon at the fact that X-Files is being rerun at 10:00 every night starting from the first episode.

X-Files was my first fandom. There's always a special place in your heart for your first love. Well, at least when it comes to fandom :-) There are episodes I've been watching that I hadn't seen since they first aired! It takes me back to being in Grade 8. java_green and I would go to the ice rink every friday night but we had to make sure we got back before 9:00 so we could watch X-Files!

tweyelite gave me disks of the 1st season of "The 4400" which looks good, I'm going to check them out today because the new season starts on space tonight.

I'm thinking of downloading the first few eps of "Prison Break" because I've heard it's good.

Not to mention that "Lost" and "Veronica Mars" will be starting soon! Ack! So many shows!

Ugh, and I don't even want to TALK about Big Brother. I wish the BB house would explode or something so NEITHER of those two hags would get a penny!

Sold some DVDs at blockbuster, they put a $64 credit on my account.

The "Lost" DVDs came to $63.26!

So I managed to get the DVDs and actually MAKE money (well, 74 cents...but still)! Woot!


Discovered that my computer had a virus which luckily, was very easy to fix, so I cleaned it up and now the puter is working fine!

Also, finally, after 2 freaking weeks of calling, I got ahold of someone at the phone company who was actually COMPETENT and who was able to figure out the problem with my phone and *crosses fingers* assured me that it should be fixed in 24 hours.

It's probably fucking up because it knows I should get off my ass and actually do all the things I need to do today and stop wasting time online.

I was in HMV yesterday and walked around with the Lost DVD's for awhile before realizing that I really shouldn't spend my money on DVD's right now. Then I noticed that they had the Angel DVD's on 2 for $80!!! I stil need seasons 4 and 5 of Angel to complete my Joss collection. It took all the willpower I had not to buy them.

I'll probably end up going back there in a couple of days and shelling out the cash for them. Because regular price they would be like $140!

I've been rewatching all the Buffy seasons lately. *sigh* I love this show so much. I just finished season 4, I just love the beginnings of the whole Willow/Tara thing. They were so adorable.

Also, I'm constantly surprised by how very short Seth Green is. He's just so tiny! He's wee! He's like a pocket-sized werewolf.

I've figured out a way (hopefully) to afford the Lost DVDs, however. Blockbuster buys old DVDs for store credit, they pay at least $5 for every DVD you bring in and I have 10 DVDs I can sell! So I'll get $50 for that, and I can definitely afford the remaining $10-$15 of the DVD price! Yay!!!

I bought pumpkin_dude a REALLY kickass birthday present yesterday. It's this weird little game system, it's just 2 controllers that you plug into the TV and it has 118 games preloaded into it!

So now we have all these old school Nintendo and Atari games to play!

It's not Brodie's birthday for another week or so, but I'm SO bad with presents. I am completely incapable of saving them until the actual birthday (or whatever occasion) has arrived.

I wrapped it up, hid it in the closet, intending to save it for his birthday then 2 seconds after he stepped in the apartment yesterday I found myself saying "I bought you your birthday present! It's in the closet, why don't you open it now?"

*shakes head*

Oh well, at least he liked it :-)
