I'm totally pissed off at myself. I really really hate when I neglect to do something simple that results in something annoying like money being stupidly wasted.

I was going to buy the Battlestar Galactica season 1 DVDs today. I found them in the store and read the back of the box to find the sentence:

"Contains all 13 episodes of the first season, plus the miniseries that started it all."

*fumes*

The miniseries is already ON the season 1 DVDs. The same miniseries that I shelled out $35 for just last week, when I could have spent just $10 more to get the miniseries AND the first season TOGETHER if I had only bothered to read the back of the DVD box while I was at the store!

So frigging irritated. So yeah, I wound up NOT buying the DVDs. I think what I'm going to do is trade in a few movies (including the miniseries) at Blockbuster tomorrow for store credit and get the DVDs that way. Then I won't be quite so annoyed at myself for needlessly pissing away $35.

Bah.


pumpkin_dude showed me this video today and I just about died laughing! It's just a short little thing about these two brothers trying to take a nice photo of themselves to give to their mom for mothers day when things quickly devolve into bitchiness and slap fights. Just watch, it's WAY too funny to pass up!


Also, Jensen Ackles with facial hair? Quite possibly the hottest thing I have ever seen in my life. My panties have MELTED. *drools*

I found "Big Love" on video on demand the other day and decided to check it out and damn, is it ever GOOD! Also, there's three VM people on it! Lilly, Beaver, AND Mac on another show together? AWESOME! It's surprisingly engaging. I watched all 10 eps in three days. Very cool, I highly recommend it.

Speaking of new shows, I'm bursting with excitement at getting season one of "Battlestar Galactica" tomorrow! I bought the mini-series last weekend and pumpkin_dude and I both totally loved it. *flails*

Anyway, I'm off to watch the second hour of the Amazing Race finale. I kinda hope BJ and Tyler win. I mean, I totally realize they spend like 100% of their time mugging for the cameras, and they think they're way funnier than they actually are a lot of the time, but hey, they're good racers and they seem to genuinely have fun. There aren't many TAR teams who manage to run the whole race without ever getting nasty with each other.

Also have "Lost" on the DVR, don't know if I'll get to it tonight (considering I get up for work in like 6 and a half hours...), but I'm really hoping it was good.
