Goddamn phone company.
I hate Bell with a fiery passion so when I got a phone call from Rogers last week about switching my phone service to them (I get to leave Bell AND save $20 a month on my phone) I jumped at the chance.
I'm keeping my same number, because I figured it would be inconvenient to switch. So they told me, and this is a direct quote: "You will experience a 15 minute interruption in service at some point between 8 am and 5 pm, Thursday, August 26th, after which your phone will be working as normal."
Well, that "interruption" started at some point between 8 am and 5 pm last Thursday AND IS STILL HAPPENING!!!
Anyone trying to call me is getting fax machine noises. I can call out, but nobody can call me or leave me a message. I had some blood tests done last week and I'm REALLY hoping I don't have some horrible disease that they've been trying to call me and inform me about. I also applied for a couple of jobs last week. I wonder if I've been called for an interview? I guess I'll never know!
*fumes*
I've now been on hold for FORTY MINUTES with the phone company trying to get some answers as to when the fuck my phone will be working again! I'm going to end up hanging up in a few minutes and will have spent the past 3/4 of an hour listening to annoying hold music for absolutely no reason because I have to leave for work very soon.
I called them on Saturday and they told me it would be another 48 hours before my phone worked. Let's see, it has now been 96 hours (well, technically 144 hours since it originally went out) and it's NOT WORKING YET!!!
Argh.
