OMG I'm so happy I'm DONE! *dances around*

I'd been going through the worst vidding dry spell! Seriously, it's been like 6 months since I've made anything half decent, and I was starting to think I had lost my vidding mojo forever. So yeah, I'm beyond thrilled that I finished this (and relatively quickly, too!).

What to say about this vid. Well, it's pretty dark. Probably the darkest vid I've ever made. I did a lot of playing around with color and used quite a few different effects (I really wanted to push the limits of Vegas and see what I could do). It focuses on Sam's struggles through season two and, towards the end, delves into a possible future for Sam (I kinda latched on to the "Are you sure what you brought back is 100% Sam?" question and ran with it). Just a little disclaimer: I'm not necessarily hoping that Sam will go evil, nor do I think he already is evil. I'm just kinda fascinated with the idea and felt this song would be perfect for it.

The movements and beats in the vid are largely focused around the guitar melody, partly because it's the most prominent instrument used, but mainly due to the fact that I've been playing Guitar Hero like it's going out of style and my brain is a little over-invested in hearing the guitar right at the moment.

I could (and should) write more about this, because I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I haven't slept yet and I'm so tired my brain is barely functioning. I've been working on this vid for about a week and a half and I've just spent the past...*counts*...18 hours completing it.

*feels slightly insane*

Anyway, I really hope you guys like the vid!

I've been wondering where your vidding muse was! Beautiful job, I loved all the colors you used. And loved Sam's "vision" when he was dead - very cool. Not kidding on the dark, ending with somewhat Evil!Sam, whom I love and adore. Here's hoping the boy gets to kick some a*s next season! Saving to my collection.

Aw, Hon! It's fabulous. Excellent, excellent song choice and great summary of Sam being pushed and pushed and pushed some more. I'm not a great fan of Sam goes evil, but this vid, with the long line of things that happened plays to the flip side of that so well -- not that Sam has gone evil, but Why the hell hasn't he? after all that.

Oh wow that was amazing. The Evil!Samness is something that I love, not that I want him to go evil, but I love the idea of the internal conflict within him so loved the vid. The ending was fantastic I think that was my favorite part.

Thanks, hon! So glad you liked the yellow eyes effect. I kinda wish I could have gotten them to look a little bit better (the color was a bit off and they could have been more luminous) but after a couple of hours of fucking around with that clip, enough was enough ;-)

I'm a new vidder of an old series. Although I find them pretty, I usually don't find anything fulfilling in vids having to do with newer fandoms I have no interest in. But, but, but... this one worked so well musically! The crashes and splashes and mood was a visual, musical feast.

Definitely something to learn from.

Watched your vid on maygra's recommendation and was beyond impressed. Not only is it beautifully structured and synced to the music, but the color saturation is fabulous. As for the vid 'story,' it is dark and intense and kind of a gut punch (and the ability of SPN itself and the creative product of its fans to do that to me is what I love best about this show and this fandom). Clearly need to check out more of your vids. Lovely work!

This is excellent. You've really captured just how traumatic and full of struggle this past year has been for Sam. Great song choice, and the visual effects were effective and not obtrusive. Definitely one I will rewatch many times.

Wow. This was... the greatest thing I have ever watched in my life. I was recced this by [info]leighm, and wow, am I glad that she pointed me in this direction. The clips alone and the blending that you used were in and of themselves a work of art, but the overall effect of the video left me nearly speechless. Seriously, one of the best videos I've ever seen.

I don't know if you've taken it over there already, but I know that the girls over at [info]sam_support would love to take a look at this. Either way, this was incredible. Thank you so much for making it. *loves*

This truly amazed me!! If there's one thing I love in a vid, is synch.

Really. Sometimes I know it's a good editing work, but it still lacks the perfect harmony with the music.

This one has it all: you chose good scenes, specially avoiding some common places (thumps up), I totally got the storyline, beignning to end; and a perfect, AWESOME synch with the music.

Congratulations on a great job!!! Totally loved it!
